A man was hospitalized after he was shot outside a Van Nuys apartment building, authorities said Monday.
The shooting occurred at about 11:50 p.m. Sunday at 13627 Sherman Way, at Woodman Avenue, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The 30-year-old victim had gotten out of a parked vehicle when he was approached by two male suspects wearing ski masks, he said.
There was an altercation and one suspect shot the victim, the spokesman said.
The two suspects ran into a parking structure and fled the scene in a car, he said.
The victim was taken to a hospital by ambulance where he had stable vital signs, the spokesman said.
