A 48-year-old man was charged Wednesday with murder in the fatal shooting of another man at a Huntington Beach home.
Robert Emery of Huntington Beach was charged with murder with a sentencing enhancement for the discharge of a gun causing death. He is accused in the shooting of 35-year-old Tyquan Devone Maurice Rawlins of Long Beach, authorities said.
Police responded about 11:30 p.m. Sunday to shots fired at a home in the 4500 block of Scenario Drive, police said. The victim was rushed to an area hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
Emery refused to be transported Wednesday for his scheduled arraignment, which was rescheduled for Thursday in the West Justice Center in Westminster.
