A man was killed Wednesday in the unincorporated Willowbrook area near South Angeles.
The death was reported at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of East 120th Street, near Central Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
No details were immediately available about the victim or how he was killed, according to the sheriff’s department, whose homicide bureau was investigating.
The location is about a mile away from where federal immigration authorities arrested a man who they called a “violent criminal illegal alien from El Salvador” Wednesday morning, but it was not immediately clear if there was any connection between the two cases.
