A man was arrested on suspicion of a single-vehicle DUI crash in Orange Friday that killed his passenger.
The fatal crash happened about 3:10 a.m. Friday at La Veta Avenue and Batavia Street, police said. It was unclear what the man crashed the vehicle into. He was rushed to an area hospital and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
A woman in the vehicle died as a result of the crash. Her name was not immediately released.
Police were looking into the possibility that the driver was involved in a pursuit earlier involving the California Highway Patrol.
