A 23-year-old man who was killed when he allegedly crashed a car at high speed into the rear or another vehicle in Palmdale was identified Monday.
The crash occurred about 7:10 p.m. Sunday at Rancho Vista Boulevard and Dunbar Street, Lt. W. Edson of the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station told City News Service.
The man driving a 2019 Audi RS 3 was pronounced dead at the scene, Edson said. He was identified Monday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Jahlani Newman.
A man driving a 2004 Scion xB that was rear-ended was taken to a hospital with major injuries, Edson said.
The crash was under investigation.
