A burglary suspect who apparently entered a Turner’s Outdoorsman store in Norwalk surrendered to authorities Thursday after holing up in the store for several hours.

The break-in at the business, which sells — among other items — guns and ammunition designed for hunting and shooting, was reported about 3:05 a.m. Thursday in the 11300 block of Firestone Boulevard , according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau personnel were dispatched along with crisis negotiators and the suspect surrendered was taken into custody by 10:15 a.m., according to the sheriff’s department.

A report from the scene showed a ventilation unit on the business’ roof that appeared to be the suspect’s entry point.
