One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway and an investigation is underway Friday.
CHP officers were called to the MacArthur Boulevard on-ramp of the southbound freeway at 10:42 p.m. Thursday where they learned a minivan collided with a Caltrans truck at a high-rate of speed, a CHP spokeswoman told City News Service.
The victim — whose name, gender and age were not immediately known — was pronounced dead by paramedics from the Orange County Fire Authority.
ABC 7 reported four people were injured in the crash and taken to a hospital in unknown conditions.
A SigAlert was issued for the closure of the transition road from the Costa Mesa (55) to the southbound 405 for several hours.
