Fire Saturday damaged an “older” boarded-up, wood-framed church in San Pedro, authorities said.
Ninety-three firefighters dispatched at 6:52 a.m. Saturday to 100 W. First St. had the fire out within 58 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
“Primary and secondary searches confirmed no occupants found inside the structure,” the LAFD’s Jennifer Middleton said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
