A 51-year-old bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle and killed in the predawn hours in a hit-and-run crash in Boyle Heights was identified Tuesday.
The collision was reported about 5:20 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Boyle Avenue and Seventh Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
No description was immediately available of the vehicle, which had been southbound on Boyle Avenue and was turning onto westbound Seventh Street when it struck the rider, who was pronounced dead at the scene, policed said.
The victim was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Miguel Munozrazo, who sustained multiple blunt force injuries.
Reports from the scene showed a white pop-up tent set up in the intersection.
Anyone with information about the fatality was urged to call the LAPD’s Central Traffic Division, which was investigating the crash, at 213-833-3746.
