A 31-year-old pedestrian who was struck and killed on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu was identified Tuesday.
Deputies from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station responded around 7:30 p.m. Monday to the 27280 block of Pacific Coast Highway, near Paradise Cove, regarding a crash, an sheriff’s spokesman told City News Service.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
He was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office as Norberto Guevara Jr.
North and southbound lanes on Pacific Coast Highway remained closed for several hours
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with deputies, authorities said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
