The California Highway Patrol has issued an Ebony Alert to help the Los Angeles Police Department locate an 18-year-old Black woman who went missing Saturday.
Akira Young was last seen about 1:30 p.m. Saturday at South Broadway and West 119th Street in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood, the CHP stated. She was believed to be on foot.
Young is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a green top, pink pants and gray shoes.
Anyone who sees Young or knows where she is, was urged to call 911.
Ebony Alerts are available to law enforcement agencies investigating the suspicious or unexplained disappearance of a Black person to immediately inform the public and aid in their swift recovery.
