Los Angeles police detectives Monday sought possible victims of a 47-year-old man who was recently arrested on suspicion of child molestation.
Christopher James Ramstead of Thousand Oaks was “re-arrested” on Friday “on charges related to an ongoing criminal investigation that started in Ventura County,” according to a Los Angeles Police Department statement.
Ramstead was re-arrested on a felony warrant issued for alleged lewd acts against a minor under 14.
“Ramstead was previously arrested on February 4, 2026, for crimes against children that were believed to have occurred in Los Angeles County and was later released on bail,” police said. “Investigators suspect there may be additional, unidentified victims.”
Investigators released a photo of Ramstead and asked for information regarding anyone possibly being victimized by him.
Ramstead was being held without bail.
Anyone who may be a victim or has additional information regarding Ramstead was urged to contact LAPD Juvenile Division detectives at 818-374-5415. Anonymous tips can be submitted through LA Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477) or www.lacrimestoppers.org.
