Two adults and one juvenile were displaced Monday after a residential fire in Indio that caused no injuries.

The blaze was reported at 2:42 p.m. Monday in the 82200 block of Kenner Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived to find the structure well involved in flames, with exposure concerns for a neighboring building, prompting officials to request two additional engines, the department said.

The fire was contained at 3:10 p.m., and the American Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced residents, authorities said.

Crews were expected to remain at the scene for about two hours for overhaul operations.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
