A 40-year-old man who died when he intentionally shot himself following a traffic collision in El Sereno was identified Thursday by county authorities.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division responded to a report of a shooting at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday following a vehicle collision at the intersection of Pueblo Avenue and Navarro Street, LAPD Officer Norma Eisenmann told City News Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene, where they pronounced the man dead.
He was identified as Adrian Shibumi by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office, ruled his cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and listed the manner of death as suicide. His city of residence was not provided.
