A driver suspected of having illegal narcotics and guns in a vehicle was arrested after a traffic stop in Palm Desert, authorities said Friday.
The enforcement stop was conducted shortly after 10:40 p.m. Thursday in the area of Deep Canyon Road and Via Palmira, according to Lt. Deirdre Vickers of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The reason for the traffic stop was not immediately known. It was also unclear what type and what amount of drugs and firearms were found.
The driver, who was not identified, was taken into custody without incident.
The investigation was ongoing.
