A man who was wounded following a shooting this evening at the Westfield Culver City Mall Culver City has died.
Officers responded shortly before 8 p.m. to reports of shots fired in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, according to a spokeswoman for the Culver City Police Department.
Detectives determined after a preliminary investigation that a man had sustained a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.
Officers establishing a containment to locate two suspects. Culver City spokeswoman Jennifer Atenza said at a press conference a firearm was recovered at the scene.
Police said additional resources were responding to the location to assist with the investigation.
The motive for the shooting was not immediately provided
