Police Saturday are investigating a shooting outside a nightclub during a street takeover in downtown Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the department’s Central Division responded to a report of a shooting at 1:06 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 18th Street and Broadway when people heard gunshots, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
Officers learned two 18-year-old men were engaged in an argument outside the nightclub when one of them drew a gun and shot the victim, who sustained gunshot wounds to the neck and face, police said.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were called to the scene and took the victim to a hospital in stable condition.
The suspect ran away from the scene in an unknown direction.
