A Silver Alert was canceled after a 78-year-old woman who was reported missing after last being seen near Echo Park was found, the California Highway Patrol announced Sunday.
Margarita Perez had last been seen around 2 p.m. Wednesday near Alvarado and Reservoir streets, according to the CHP, which activated the alert Friday on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
No further details were released as is typical in missing persons cases.
