A 26-year-old man who was fatally shot in Lynwood, prompting a homicide investigation, was identified Tuesday by county authorities.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lynwood Station responded at 1:15 a.m. Monday to the 11800 block of State Street and Josephine Street regarding a shooting, LASD Deputy Tracy Koerner told City News Service.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
He was identified by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office as Alexander Garcia of Lynwood
Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives were investigating the killing, but no suspect information was immediately available.
