A Silver Alert was activated Tuesday evening on behalf of an at-risk 83-year-old woman last seen in Sylmar.
Martha Sandoval-Montero was last seen at about 7 a.m. Tuesday near Foothill Boulevard and Bledsoe Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Sandoval-Montero was described as a 5-foot-5-inch tall woman weighing 120 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sweater and pants, black-and-white shoes and carrying a black rolling luggage bag.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
