The California Highway Patrol Saturday activated a Silver Alert to help the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department locate an 80-year-old man believed to have driven away from La Mirada.
Chieng Liang was last seen about 11 a.m. Saturday driving his white 2008 Mazda CX-7 SUV from Excelsior Drive and Escalona Road, according to the CHP. The California license plate number of his SUV is 6BEW566.
Liang is Asian, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt and black pants.
Anyone who sees Liang or knows where he is was urged to call 911.
A Silver Alert is activated when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk. It provides immediate information to the public aimed at the swift recovery of the at-risk person.
