Firefighters knocked down a fire at a vacant two-story government housing building in Los Angeles in less than 20 minutes Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the call at 2053 E. 99th Place in Los Angeles just before 5 p.m. Sunday, according to the LAFD.

Heavy smoke and flames were showing from one unit upon arrival. Crews coordinated interior fire attack with roof ventilation until the fire was out, according to the LAFD.

An additional unit was exposed but not involved in the fire.

No injuries were immediately reported.
