A 60-year-old pedestrian killed in a December hit-and-run crash in the Pico-Union district was identified Monday by the county Medical Examiner’s office.
Jorge Paz Molina died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 11:45 p.m. Dec. 6 near Venice Boulevard and Malvern Avenue, when he was struck by a silver four-door Chrysler 300 sedan traveling eastbound, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect was described as a man between 50 and 60 years old who was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and glasses.
Police said the driver failed to stop after striking Molina.

Detectives assigned to the LAPD’s Central Traffic Division released surveillance images of the suspect and vehicle, urging anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for information leading to the identity, arrest and conviction of the suspect.
