A possible car-to-car shooting in Reseda led to a short police chase that ended with a suspect on the run Tuesday morning.
The time and location of the shooting was not immediately clear. According to a report from the scene, it happened along Corbin Avenue in Reseda.
Officers began chasing the suspect around 5:05 a.m. and the brief pursuit came to an end in the 19200 block of Calvert Street, where the suspect took off on foot, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police were conducting a perimeter search in the neighborhood.
The shooting victim self-transported to a hospital, but that person’s condition was not immediately available, an LAPD officer said.
A detailed description of the male suspect was not immediately available.
