Police Thursday announced they have arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with a series of armed robberies targeting U.S. Postal Service carriers in the San Fernando Valley and were seeking additional possible victims.

The suspect, identified as Andranik Naghdalyan, was arrested on Sunday following the fifth postal carrier robbery since Dec. 3, 2025, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

That robbery happened about 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the 5400 block of Ethel Avenue in Sherman Oaks, according tp the LAPD.

The previous robberies occurred on Dec. 3 about 4:40 p.m. in the 5200 block of Corteen Place in Valley Village; about 11:20 a.m. that day in the 4100 block of Whitsett Avenue in Studio City; about 2 p.m. Saturday in the 4800 block of Morella Avenue in Studio City; and around 2:25 p.m. that day in the 5700 block of Whitsett Avenue in Valley Village, according to the LAPD.

“During each incident, the suspect approached the victims while armed with a firearm and demanded their postal keys and electronic scanners,” according to an LAPD statement. “Investigators determined the suspect utilized a white Lexus sedan during the commission of the robberies.”

Naghdalyan was arrested by officers from the LAPD’s North Hollywood and Van Nuys division during a vehicle stop at the intersection of Tyrone Street and Hamlin Avenue about 1 p.m. Sunday.

“During the arrest, evidence was recovered that linked the suspect to the series of robberies,” police said.

Naghdalyan was booked on suspicion of robbery.

This investigation was a coordinated effort between the LAPD and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

A photograph of Naghdalyan was released because detectives believe there are additional victims of unreported robberies.

Anyone with additional information is urged to contact Detective Noah Stone at 818-754-8424, or Postal Inspector Marcus Updegraff at 626-405-1314.
