A 40-year-old man who became ill while hiking and was unable to extract himself from the Hollywood Hills area was airlifted to a hospital Sunday, authorities said.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 10:37 a.m. Sunday to Runyon Canyon Road in the Hollywood Hills west area, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The condition of the hiker was not immediately clear.
