Police sought the public’s assistance Tuesday in identifying a driver responsible for severely injuring a pedestrian during a hit-and-run collision in Brentwood in January.
The collision was reported at approximately 12:35 a.m. on Jan. 19. A black Toyota Prius that was traveling southbound on Bringham Avenue hit a male pedestrian who was in the southbound lanes of Bringham Avenue, north of Gorham Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said the driver failed to stop and render aid to the victim, continuing southbound on Bringham Avenue toward San Vicente Boulevard.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and took the victim to a hospital for treatment.
”Motorists are reminded that if they are involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves,” police said in a statement.
A reward of up to $25.000 is being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
