Officers discovered a stabbing victim inside a vehicle during a routine traffic stop Saturday morning in Long Beach, authorities said.
The traffic stop occurred at about 1 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 29th Street and Lakeview Drive, the Long Beach Police Department reported. The male victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
“The preliminary investigation indicates the stabbing occurred near the 2000 block of Lemon Avenue earlier in the evening,” according to a police statement. “The motive and suspect information are under investigation.”
