A 15-year-old boy was shot and wounded during a fight at Dockweiler Beach, according to multiple media reports.
It occurred at 7:20 p.m. Saturday near lifeguard tower 55 on the 11400 block of Vista Del Mar,
The boy told police he heard a gunshot, then realized he had been struck by the gunfire, CBS2 reported.
He is reportedly hospitalized in stable condition.
It was unclear what started the fight, but witnesses said it was a “large group disturbance.”
The beach was closed early while the Los Angeles Police Department investigation continued.
The suspect fled and no description was available.
