Sheriff’s detectives Wednesday are continuing their investigation of the death of a 23-year-old man found shot in an alley near the Palmdale International Shopping Mall in Palmdale.
The Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office identified him as Roberto Visar, whose place of residence was not disclosed.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs’ Department Palmdale Station responded at around 12:12 p.m. Tuesday to an alley near the 1000 block of East Palmdale Boulevard and 10th Street East, where they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds, LASD Tracy Koerner told City New Service.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Video from the scene showed a man lying face-up as deputies strung yellow crime tape around the area where they found Visar, and a woman sobbing as a deputy attempted to calm and console her.
