A big rig and a RV collided Friday morning on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Irwindale, prompting a SigAlert as the morning commute gets underway.
California Highway Patrol officers were called to the westbound freeway and the Irwindale Avenue South off-ramp at 4:41 a.m. Friday where the two large vehicles were involved in a collision, with the RV crashing through the freeway guardrail and landing in an embankment, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics responded to the accident, where one person was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of two lanes of the westbound freeway and the Irwindale Avenue off-ramp for two hours, Garcia said.
The cause of the collision is under investigation
