A model and social media influencer has been ordered to stand trial on six felony counts, including burglary and grand theft, involving alleged victims that she met through dating apps, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
Adva Lavie — who is also known as Mia Ventura — is due back in a Van Nuys courtroom April 6 for arraignment on two counts each of grand theft and unauthorized use of personal identifying information, along with one count each of first-degree residential burglary and first-degree residential burglary with a person present, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors say Lavie, 28, used dating apps and cultivated relationships to victimize wealthy older men and younger women in Westlake Village, West Hollywood, Los Angeles and Beverly Hills from 2023 to 2025. They say she posed as a girlfriend and travel companion to gain access to the victims’ homes and then allegedly stole cash, gold and high-end designer items.
“At her trial, we will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant exploited trust built through online relationships to gain access to victims’ homes and steal from them,” District Attorney Nathan Hochman said in a statement. “Her ability to deceptively influence others, whether in person or online, has now come to an end.”
Lavie is free from custody on an ankle-monitoring device and has been ordered to stay away from the alleged victims, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
She could face up to 11 years and eight months in state prison if convicted as charged, authorities said.
