A 31-year-old man suspected of sexually assaulting a minor in Jurupa Valley was taken into custody in a Sacramento suburb Wednesday.

Frank Juarez was located on Wednesday by California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation personnel and Galt Police Department detectives, who assisted deputies assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station in the ongoing investigation of a sexual assault allegation against a minor reported on Jan. 13, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

During the investigation, investigators determined that Juarez, a resident of Jurupa Valley, was temporarily residing in Galt, prompting deputies assigned to the Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit to execute an arrest warrant.

Investigators took Juarez into custody in the 9000 block of Twin Cities Road in Galt without incident and took him to the Galt Police Station.

Sheriff’s officials said Juarez was later booked into the Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of multiple felony sexual assaults and is expected to be extradited to Riverside County.

Anyone with additional information regarding the case was urged to call Special Victims Unit Investigator Lee at 951-955-2777.
