A motorcycle rider was killed Wednesday in a collision with a vehicle in South Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at approximately 3 a.m. Wednesday to Florence Avenue and Main Street, where they found the victim on the side of the road, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene, where they pronounced the victim dead.
The motorcycle was located several hundred feet away from where the victim was found and a shoe and the rider’s helmet were found near the body, according to reports from the scene.
Florence was closed between Main and San Pedro streets for the crash response and investigation.
