A luncheon celebrating the Palm Springs’ police and fire members, who serve and protect the city, will take place Thursday at the Convention Center.
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. through 1 p.m. Thursday at 277 N. Avenida Caballeros.
Hosted by the city’s Chamber of Commerce, the annual “Police and Fire Appreciation Luncheon” will feature Marty Massiello, president and CEO of Eisenhower Health, set to be honored with the Richard M. Milanovich Community Leadership Award.
Participating attendees include Mayor Naomi Soto, Councilman David Ready, Police Chief Andrew Mills, Fire Chief Paul Alvarado, Councilwoman Grace Garner, Councilman Ron deHarte, Councilman Jeffrey Bernstein and Chamber of Commerce CEO Nona Watson.
City officials said the annual luncheon brings together business leaders, community members and city officials to recognize first responders, and celebrate the partnership between public safety and the community.
