An investigation was continuing Friday after a man’s decomposed body was found inside a blue drum in Llano, prompting a homicide investigation.
Deputies assigned to the Palmdale Station responded around 2:30 a.m. Thursday to the area of 195th Street East and Pearblossom Highway on reports of a person located inside a trash bin, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The responding deputies discovered a body in a state of decomposition inside a blue drum upon arrival, prompting the response of Los Angeles County Fire Department officials, who formally pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives assumed the death investigation, noting that the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.
