A man was killed in a hit-and-run collision Friday west of the Westlake District and the suspect is on the run.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called to the 700 block of Vermont Avenue and West Seventh Street at 3:45 a.m. Friday where they learned the suspect was driving north on Vermont when they struck the pedestrian, LAPD Officer Kevin Terzes told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
The driver continued driving north and collided with another vehicle before driving away from the scene.
There was no suspect or vehicle description.
The LAPD’s West Traffic Bureau will be in charge of investigating the collision, Terzes said.
