A 33-year-old man killed in a hit-and-run crash while riding an electric scooter in South Los Angeles was identified Friday.
The man was riding the e-scooter near the intersection of Hoover and 75th streets around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was struck, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
He was identified Friday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Christian Lira, who sustained blunt traumatic injuries.
No suspect or vehicle description was immediately available.
The LAPD’s South Traffic Division was handling the investigation.
