A 21-year-old woman was taken into custody Friday following a stabbing in the University Park area.

Officers responded at about 11:15 a.m. to the 600 block of West 28th Street, on USC’s fraternity row, to reports of a stabbing victim, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Details as to what led up to the stabbing remain limited, but police said there were no reports of the victim being taken to a hospital.

According to USC Annenberg Media, the stabbing occurred just north of the main campus.

The university’s Department of Public Safety officers assisted the responding LAPD officers with the investigation, and multiple patrol vehicles surrounded the area as a helicopter circled overhead during the probe.
