A motorcycle rider was killed when he crashed into a car making a U-turn in front of him in the Porter Ranch area of Los Angeles, authorities said Sunday.
The crash occurred around 11 p.m. Saturday on Reseda Boulevard near Beaufait Avenue, according to Sgt. Kilgrow of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Bureau.
The driver of the car was making a U-turn from northbound Reseda to the southbound side when the car was broadsided by the motorcycle, Kilgrow said.
The man driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, he said. His identity was not immediately made public.
The crash remained under investigation, Kilgrow said.
