A 29-year-old man who was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in Northridge was identified by county authorities Friday.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office determined the victim was Deondre Deloatch.
The crash occurred at about 8:15 p.m. Sunday in the area of Roscoe Boulevard and White Oak Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
“A gray 2006 Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on Roscoe Boulevard, west of White Oak Avenue, when it struck a pedestrian who was on the roadway,” according to a police statement. “The pedestrian was dragged a distance before being dislodged from the vehicle.”
The Honda continued eastbound on Roscoe without stopping. Paramedics rushed the Deloatch, to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
