The California Highway Patrol has activated a Silver Alert to help Los Angeles police locate a 77-year-old man missing from the Beverly Grove area.

Ren Jan Yu was last seen at about 4:15 p.m. Friday at West Third Street and La Cienega Boulevard, according to the CHP.

He is 5-feet-6 inches tall, 112 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a long-sleeved flannel shirt, light-colored vest, light-colored pants and dark-colored shoes.

The CHP activates Silver Alerts to help locate missing, at-risk seniors or people with cognitive impairments.

Anyone with any information regarding Yu or his whereabouts was urged to call 911, or the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire station at 213-473-0476.
