In an official confirmation of a campus tragedy, the coroner’s office said Monday the death of a 19- year-old man on USC’s fraternity row was a suicide.
However, there was no word of why the fraternity member may have taken his own life.
The death was reported at 4:35 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of West 28th Street, near Figueroa Street, in the University Park section of South Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im.
The man died at the Gamma Epsilon Omega fraternity house, according to the Daily Trojan. He was a member of that fraternity, according to the fraternity’s website
