Los Angeles Fire Department personnel got the upper hand on a fire Friday at a three-story, split- level condominium in Tarzana and quickly extinguished it in less than half an hour.

Firefighters responded at 3:13 a.m. to 18150 W. Oxnard St. and Cahill Avenue where they assisted the building’s occupants in exiting safely while they fought the blaze, said LAFD spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton.

It took 44 firefighters 28 minutes to control and knock down the fire.

Members of the LAFD’s Arson Section are responding to the scene to conduct an investigation into the origin/cause of the fire. No injuries were reported, Middleton said.
