Flames damaged a home in the Valley Village area of Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.

The fire was reported at 11:52 p.m. Sunday at 4925 N. Westpark Drive, south of Morrison Street, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

Flames were showing through the roof when firefighters arrived, Stewart said. They took up offensive positions inside the single-story home and on the roof.

Firefighters put out the flames in 16 minutes, at 12:08 a.m. Monday, she said.

Video from the scene showed what appeared to be major damage to the home.

No injuries were reported.
