Two women were injured Tuesday in a fire at a one-story, single-family home in Beverly Grove.
Los Angeles Fire Department fire crews responded at 4:03 a.m. Tuesday to 812 North Crescent Heights Boulevard, between Willoughby and Waring avenues where they found the victims with significant smoke at the location, said LAFD spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.
It took 54 firefighters 42 minutes to extinguish the flames.
An 85-year-old woman and another woman of an unknown age were taken to hospitals in unknown conditions, Lantz said.
The department’s LAFD Arson Section will be in charge of investigating the cause of the fire.
