A 75-year-old man was seriously injured during an apartment fire Tuesday in Van Nuys, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 12:44 p.m. Tuesday to the four-story structure at 7342 N. Haskell Ave. had the fire out within 14 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Fire damaged a unit on the first floor of the structure. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
