Firefighters in Lincoln Heights put out a blaze on a downtown Los Angeles-bound freight train Thursday morning.

A burning boxcar was reported in the area of 599 N. Mission Road, around 5:20 a.m. Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

It took crews a little over one hour to snuff the contents fire completely.

The cause of the blaze was unknown, according to the LAFD, which reported no injuries.
