The force just wasn’t with two people who were arrested for misdemeanor offenses during the Star Wars premiere in Hollywood, and authorities Wednesday were trying to figure just what happened.

One person was arrested at the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Monday night event on suspicion of fence jumping and another for using a fake identification placard in an attempt to get into a private party after the screening, according to Los Angeles police Officer Mike Lopez.

Lopez was unable to confirm a report by the entertainment news website TMZ that a 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon when he set off a metal detector because his cane contained a 14-inch blade.

There was no immediate word on possible charges.
