Comic book and movie fans marvel at Stanley Martin Lieber, and wished him a happy 95th birthday. That stopped more than a few hearts when his more familiar name, Stan Lee, became a trending topic.
Lee, of course, is the force behind a legion of superheroes, including Spider-Man, the Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men.
The chairman emeritus of Marvel Comics also became movie mogul and King of the Cameos, and actors bow to his golden touch.
Among the stars saluting Lee on Thursday were Don Cheadle, Kevin Smith, Jennifer Lawrence, Mark Ruffalo and Gabriel Luna.
Then came the relief:
